its finally the year..... 2013
Here is a picture of my brother Logan Twitchell (and author Rocky Twitchell) training in Pencak Silat in the Sierra Buttes ,Sierra Nevada Mountain Range, CA.
We camped here and trained in Pencak Silat at our campsite for 3 days. We had great Mexican food the first night, Hamburgers on the 2nd night and finished the 3rd night with Steaks. Logan and I a great time sitting by the camp fire telling storys about our childhood,brothers, family and our time fighting in the boxing ring.Climbing the Butte was awesome !!! A direct ascension was impossible so we had to take the trails and follow guide posts.
But as you can see the snow at the top of the mountain indicates COLD NIGHTS AND REALLY COLD MORNINGS. I almost froze to death each night !!!!! So next time we plan a trip here ,I'm going only when there is NO SNOW on the peaks. LESSON LEARNED !!
